And so it Begins...

On the 11th of November, in the year of our Lord 2011, Grant and Nicole were hitched. This is Nicole writing, by the way. Neither Grant nor I are very good at writing consistently in anything so we'll see how successful we are at keeping this blog going. We had a hard enough time even writing to each other while I was on a mission. But my sister Rachel has a pretty sweet blog which ends up being kind of like a journal for her, so I figured I would venture.
The best part of newly wed life is that every normal and mundane thing becomes something special. "Grant, come here!! Look!! Your clothes are on the floor right next to mine. Oooooh!! Cute!" or "We're eating the same kind of cereal together, how sweet!" I will refrain from boring the world with an account of the everyday humdrum things that we find adorable, but I will include some of our "firsts" that I think were pretty cool.
1. Our first trip to Mexico! We went to Cabo San Lucas for our honeymoon and stayed at the "Cabo Azule" resort. To say it was paradise, would be an understatement.
Which included a pool-side Queen-sized bed

A swim up taco and juice bar...

And an AMAZING view from our window

2. Our first dinner in our apartment on our first table, aka, a blanket on the living room floor.
3. Cooking our OWN turkey! (Forgive me, I don't know how to rotate pictures)...
4. Our first Christmas Tree. My sister Brittany called it a "garbage tree" because of its miss-matched ornaments.
Grant, bringing in the tree!
Well, those are the only "first" I have pictures for, but others include first Christmas with the in-laws, Christmas morning with each other, first totalled car, first ghetto apartment (a subject of a future post, to be sure), etc. etc.
All in all, marriage is awesome. It's been a blast and we hope to have many "firsts" together. As long as they are not things like "first house-fire" or "first job-firing" or "first unexpected pregnancy". Haha.
